Hiring: Compliance Data Scientist – Abu Dhabi (Summary)

The Compliance Data Scientist role focuses on using advanced data science, analytics, and AI/ML techniques to analyze customer, transaction, and compliance data to proactively identify and manage financial crime risks across the bank. The position involves developing and optimizing compliance models, detecting emerging risk patterns, supporting investigations through data-driven insights, and delivering actionable management reports to senior stakeholders.

The role includes building predictive models for AML, sanctions, and customer risk assessment; enhancing compliance systems and dashboards (Customer 360° views); supporting compliance technology implementation; and ensuring continuous improvement, model validation, and regulatory readiness. The candidate will also contribute to risk assessment, monitoring, reporting, and system change initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred), with at least 6 years of experience in data analytics within financial services, including 3+ years in Compliance Data Science. Strong expertise in AML/sanctions, financial crime typologies, machine learning, data visualization tools, and programming languages such as Python, SQL, SAS, or R is required, along with familiarity with compliance technology platforms.
